Linum usitatissimum

Flax (also known as Linseed), is an annual, warm-season flowering plant. Although grown commercially as an oil/fibre crop, it has a place in cover cropping. 

Flax is often used as a companion crop in warm-season mixtures with the aim of attracting and maintaining pollinators in the orchard - throughout the year.
